Justice for BANDIT

bandit

Our friend, the very talented Lili Chin, from Boston Buddies & DoggieDrawings posted the following on her blog.  Jen & I are having the beautiful portrait she drew of Bandit printed as 11x17 poster prints and donating them to Justice for Bandit  to be sold at his memorial.  We will also be donating two All-Mighty gift baskets which will be raffled off.  All proceeds go to this very worthy cause, so if you're in the Portland area you should go and support Bandit.  Here's what Lili had to say...

This is so unbelievably sad and shocking.

On July 12th, a 5 year old boston terrier - BANDIT (who happens to look like my Boogie with his one blue eye) was found mutilated and murdered on the grounds of Rex Putnam High School, in Milwaukie, Oregon. Bandit had been stolen from his family’s yard, stabbed, skinned and hung on a tree.

The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this horrible crime.

On September 19th, 2009 there will be a memorial for Bandit at Rex Putnam High School where Bandit was murdered. 100’s of BT/dog lovers will be present. Proceeds from raffles and gift donations will go to a Bandit Memorial as well as to rescue efforts for Bostons in Portland.
This drawing is my donation to the Bandit Memorial:

Oh. my. god.

I gasped and am now typing in tears. How horrible! Hugs and Petey kisses for bandit's family.

Whomever did this should endure a similar fate but will probably get what - a fine and a slap on the wrist. Isn't this one of the first indicators that the doer will become a serial killer and is at the very least a psychopath!?

What can we East Coast BT owner/lovers do to help? Please e-mail me. I have something BT I can donate to the auction.

This is so awful. I can't believe that someone is so sick to do that. I can't imagine what it would be like to see my 'dogger' (dog daughter) Maggie in that condition. She will get extra hugs for sure when I get home today. I hope they catch whoever did this and give them more than a slap on the wrist!

So terrible. I'm sure whomever did this, did it in a rage or drugged or something. I can't imagine ever hurting our Jetson. I have set up a donation site. For every tee I sell, I will donate $5 to the Oregon Humane Society.

This makes me sick... My heart goes out to the family, I don't think I could even function if something like this happened to my precious Boston. I would like to hurt this criminal...

This really upset me. I wish I had not read it.This is so horrific for Bandit's family, and for the fact a human is out there who could do this. What else is this horrific human going to do? I truly hope somone will give the police a lead.

I am not a violent person, nor do I ever want to wish someone pain - but reading this makes me want to find the person who did this and fight back on behalf of Bandit. This filled me with so much rage and negativity, I just started crying. My deepest sympathies go out to Bandit's family & loved ones. The sick, twisted psychopath who did this will suffer for taking the life of an innocent animal. He better watch out - us boston terrier owners are brutal!

rest in peace, handsome little Bandit! We'll work hard to bring you justice :)
